For 10 years, Lyla has been focusing on belly dance alongside swing, foxtrot, waltz and tango as well as the Latin social dances. Her voracious love of knowledge and dance has led her to study other styles such as hip hop and Afrobeat.
For the past 5 years Lyla has been an integral part of the Dance Phillipsburg family and wholeheartedly embraces the studio's principles that everyone can enjoy dance no matter their skill level, body type, and age because belly dance is for everybody.
Lyla is now part of the newest Dance Phillipsburg troupe- Zahra Bloom, who meet every other Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM
Join Lyla for a beginner workshop series to learn cabaret belly dance. Workshops will be held few months from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM and will alternate between learning technique and learning choreography.

Tasha was the founder and director of Dance Phillipsburg since it’s inception in 2010. She began Middle Eastern Dance training at Serena's School of Near Eastern Dance. Some of her numerous appearances: The Darvish, Club Ibis, Fazils, The Lafayette Grill and Cafe Le Figaro in New York City and The Middle East Restaurant in Philadelphia.
Tasha has appeared at the El Salaam Hyatt in Cairo, Egypt, and at the Jaegerstube in Wiesbaden, Germany. Tasha has even appeared aboard the Oceanic Cruise Ship , which included teaching Middle Eastern Dance to the intrigued and interested passengers.
Tasha was the featured Belly Dancer at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City from 1990 to 1992. Her interaction through audience participation made her the highlight of the Taj's special events.
Tasha has appeared at the Raleigh Hotel in the Catskills, and performed her act for an entire summer at Caesar's Cove Haven in the Poconos.
Tasha has authored and designed the Instructional Series "Let's Belly Dance" produced and distributed by Cablevision of Monmouth.
She has now retired, and leaves the legacy of her favorite studio in worthy hands.
